Who We Are

The Humanities Scholars Program offers an enriched study of the liberal arts, along with special co-curricular programs for students who have an interest in literature, languages, philosophy, history, culture and other similar disciplines. The program provides personalized academic advising for students and offers small, faculty-taught classes that are tailored to their needs. During their freshman year, the scholars live and take several classes together. Our program began in 2000 and was built around four components: academics, community, leadership and service. Outside of the classroom, Humanities Scholars have the opportunity to participate in diverse experiences based on these components and related to the fields of study within the Humanities. For more information about the Humanities Scholars Program, please contact program coordinator Emily Carpenter at (614) 247-5072 or via email at carpenter.438@osu.edu.
